Donna Garcia
Director, Compensation, Benefits and Strategic Association Management at National Association of REALTORS®
Donna leads NAR’s internal Compensation and Benefits programs and the management of its Human Resource Information System (HRIS). She also oversees consultants who provide Strategic Association Management assistance to NAR’s 1,500 state and local associations across the country.
She has successfully led collaborative teams in the planning, RFP, negotiating, planning and implementation of 3 HRIS systems and is currently working on her 4th implementation. She enjoys troubleshooting issues and partnering with vendors to guarantee the system functionality meets the organization’s needs.
Knowing the importance of having the right staff in the right position, ensuring staff align with an organization’s long-term strategic plan is also one of her passions. Donna has guided NAR leadership from several teams to realign their staff based on the team’s goals.
Donna received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from St. Xavier University and her Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Loyola University. She is certified in Organizational Development, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society of Human Resource Management, Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and REALTOR association Certified Executive (RCE).
Her role as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University,Chicago, is one of the most rewarding experiences. Donna currently teaches a graduate course on HRIS Implementation.
